Welcome to UWA Tennis Club
The University of Western Australia Tennis Club (UTC) is the oldest UWA Sporting club, having been established in 1914.
During its active years, the Club has been one of the most successful WALTA and later Tennis West Clubs having won 4 A grade and State Grade premierships, between 1971/72 and 2002/2003. Many UTC players have played tennis for the state, coached champions, written tennis books, won the Queen’s award for contributions to tennis, played for Australia, played on the world tour and most importantly, contributed to the great social atmosphere at the UTC.
Currently, UTC offers clay courts and grass courts for use at the UWA sports park, which are currently undergoing renovation. The courts on site at the University of Western Australia are still available for use.
The social tennis program is conducted on Friday afternoons from 4-6pm at the courts located at the University of Western Australia. Racquets and balls are provided with players of various skill levels in attendance. Cost to play is $5 per session. For more information, see the link below.
All enquiries can be made to a Committee member during any of the organized tennis sessions. Alternatively, queries can be communicated directly to the club:
